John G. Winkenwerder Jr.

John is an Associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. He represents large and small businesses, as well as individuals in complex matters involving breach of contract, fraud, business disputes, general liability, insurance coverage, criminal defense, and regulatory law.  Prior to joining the firm as an Associate, John worked as a part time law clerk with Hasson Law Group during his time as a law student. In addition to clerking with our firm, John gained litigation experience throughout his law school years from a diverse range of legal settings. In the summer after his first year of legal study, John was a law clerk at a multiservice firm in North Carolina focusing primarily on real estate and insurance disputes. He later worked as a legal extern for both the United States Attorney’s Office and the litigation department at AT&T, Inc. At the U.S Attorney’s Office, through obtaining a student practice membership with the North Carolina State Bar, John appeared on behalf of the United States government as a prosecutor in numerous Central Violations Bureau cases.  John earned a degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and his juris doctorate from Emory University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Georgia and is a member of the Litigation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and playing basketball.
